Put my skylights in 16 years ago and did a great job replacing wooden Oldach skylights. Well today I see water in one of the skylights (Velux comfort plus) I'll see if they deliver on the 20 year insulating glass leak warranty. Update, Ward came over checked everything out and the water stains were inside the house, evidently from the humidifier this last winter. He cleaned all the skylights and we're good to go. Ward just replaced two skylights for us. He was responsive by phone & text; updated us in a timely manner when the product was available & to schedule installation; arrived when he said he would; took video from the roof to show us what the final installation looks like; and was mindful about removing all debris & packing materials. Ward's experience, personal & professional intergrity & confidence underscored his every action. His work was put to the test about 90 minutes after his departure when we had a downpour with hail. Ward was responsive and provided options based on our requests to repair a leaky skylight and install solar tubes in a room with little natural light. He always let me know when he would arrive and kept our home spotless. Very meticulous in his work. I'm a handyman and I liked how he kept me in the loop on what he found and how he would correct errors from previous builder.

Mountview Skylights from the first call to the completion of the job were knowledgeable and professional. We were kept informed and provided step by step photos of work that was needed and as it was being done. Work was completed on schedule and there were no hidden costs from the original proposal. The original skylight was 22 years old and certain parts needed to be custom made. The end result was an attractive skylight that worked as required. This company was highly professional and quick to respond to our need given we had newer skylights (3 years old) and leaks occurring after a recent storm. We found him through two other local residents we know for which he had replaced their skylights and were highly satisfied. Since he had our two skylights in stock, we were able to get them replaced right away. Ward Moore is a very personable guy and quite the professional. He took pics and videos showing how the last group failed to remove screws from the curb on the previous replacements and made a mess of the wood we thought was rotten, but actually was not. They just ripped out the old cracked skylights and put theirs in. Also, he advised because of the lack of a complete job the last time, we were heating our attic. Ward used tarps inside to cover everything in our two bathrooms where the work was occurring and kept us informed as he progressed. We were complete in less than a day, and they look fantastic. He also made some minor roof repairs for no additional charge and advised our roof (redone in 2007) was in decent shape from all he has seen. Compare this to the business who replaced our skylights 3 years ago; they spent 45 minutes stomping around our roof telling us we needed a complete roof replacement. We'd use this company again, without question.

After having repaired my skylights myself following the hail storm in July 2016, we began to have condensation problems during periods of cold weather. We dealt with it throughout the ensuing winter, but when it became time to sell the house, we needed to get the skylights professionally replaced for the new buyers. I emailed Mountview on a Sunday hoping for nothing more than a Monday call back. Ward Moore, the president of the company, called me shortly after the email and actually met me at the house that same Sunday afternoon to inspect the skylights. He was able to get them replaced that week for a fraction of the cost for which I was bracing myself.
